McCann Birmingham's annual 'Walk for Ammi' in aid of charity

Last week the McCann Birmingham team marked their annual Christmas tradition in memory of a dear friend and colleague, Ammi Edwards.

Ammi, McCann Birmingham’s head chef for 15 years, was the beating heart of the office before his sudden passing in 2020. And, to keep his memory alive, Senior Credit Controller Paul Mitchinson (Mitch) organises a 15-mile challenge each year.

Setting off from the Solihull office, the team walked to St Martin’s Church in Birmingham city centre – and back – all in aid of causes that were close to Ammi’s heart. This year, the challenge supported The Trussell Trust foodbank and Birmingham’s chosen charity partner, Kids’ Village.

Joining Mitch on the journey was Stephen Mallinson, John Sanders, Jo Jacques, Sophie Hewitt, Kevin Murphy, Andy Smith, and Simon Pestell.
